Aleatoric music, free jazz, and New Orleans jazz all share a common element of spontaneity and unpredictability. In aleatoric music, the composer introduces elements of chance and randomness into the composition, allowing for a certain degree of improvisation by the performers. Similarly, free jazz and New Orleans jazz emphasize improvisation, with musicians often creating music in the moment without strict adherence to a predetermined structure. All three styles of music prioritize the exploration of new sounds and ideas, and the element of unpredictability adds a sense of excitement and creativity to the performance. **

Ultimately, the use of dissonance in jazz music depends on the style and intention of the composer or performer. **
